This basically kills all the speculation and theories about whether Jack and Ashi would enter into a loving relationship. However, the find the strength to finally kiss. They’re both physically weak from the battle. At one point, where it seems like they’re both out of luck, Jack figures it out and the weapon does what it needs to do, which is kill the creature. He can’t seem to figure out how it works, though, so he gives it to Ashi. In the prison, they find an armory and in that armory, the find a weapon specifically created to destroy the creature. They’re forced to find shelter in some sort of futuristic and abandoned prison, where a very powerful creature has escaped captivity and is on the loose. Jack and the Baby: Jack finds a baby and the two travel together as Jack tries to return the boy to his mother. In one scene, they’re traveling through a desert and a severe sandstorm hits. It’s obvious that they have feelings for each other, but they don’t want to admit it or make each other feel uncomfortable. But, this episode simply sets up the relationship and the inevitable kiss between the two. There was some action and it was awesome when it came. This episode sort of deviated from the main storyline just to develop this intimate relationship.
Next up, he’s ready to go after Aku with Ashi. We know that the last episode saw Jack finally retrieve his sword. These two definitely love each other and this episode focuses on their relationship as lovers. We knew it was always a possibility, but for the most part, we felt as though Jack was more of a father figure for Ashi. Throughout this entire season, we weren’t sure whether these two would develop an intimate relationship. There has always been a lingering question about these two and XCIX answers that question completely. From here on out, they begin to get closer and closer. Then, she figures out the truth about him and how everything she knows is basically a lie. Ashi’s sole purpose in life was to kill Jack. These two have had an interesting dynamic from the get-go. All in all, an interesting episode.Įpisode eight of season five of Samurai Jack is all about the growing relationship between Jack and Ashi. It’s sort of unexpected, but at the same time, it isn’t.
